September 30, 2013

Well my dearest friends and family,
It is once again PDay and we are sweating it up hardcore in this cyber cafe.  It's starting to become summer here in Madagacar!  It's all flipped here, literaly!  Now is when it gets hot and i've been told in November through January is when... the rain... comes!  Bum bum Bahhh!!! I msut admit i am pretty excited to see what the rain is like, elder Naef served in Tamatave, which is right on the coast for half of the rainy season and he said it was insane! adala be!!  Anyways!  It's been kind of a boring week to be honest haha.  so i'll just go through some review! Last p day we kinda just chilled but we went to some ice cream place that was super good haha also I saw a chicken get it's head cut off by a train... so that was crazy and just totally madagascar haha.  Tuesday we had a good, hard day of wrok followed by a soiree with some of my favorite recent converts!  Their names are Hery and Anjara and they are soo cool and becoming soo mazoto!  (hardworking)  Honestly we put in work this week and taught the most lessons in one week since i've been in country!  So that was good.  Wednesday we taught an old inactive member named rakotomalala and he talked about how he knew if he would come to church he would get healthy... Well he was at church yesterday for the first time in forever!! So that was cool!! We've really been workign with inactives and it's been paying off!  Just in the past 3 weeks we've gotten 2 inactive members become active again!  Hopefully they keep at it!!  But that's been cool!!  We also are making progress with Irene who is the woman that her husband is the member.  We're sooo close with her but we found out that she's hesitant casue her parents are actually pastors! So we're going to try and resolve those concerns!  Thursday we had a zone conference about becoming more efficient missionaries and it was really good.  I learned a lot and realized i need to work on some stuff.  I'm realizing that as long as you're giving everythign you have to the Lord... He'll bless you.  You might not realize it but you have to trust that He is blessing you.  GOTTA TRUST BABY!!!  Friday we had a fun soiree de carte which is like a mini ward party, it was cool cause it was like a bunch of people just sharing spiritual thoughts.  really cool to see their testimonies... but the food made me and my comp sick.... So saturday Naef couldn't go out to work.  So i took matters into my own hands!  I called around and got two members to help us.  I went out to work with my favorite member Elyse while a different member stayed at the house with Naef.  Saturday was really fun cause i got to practice my malagasy a lot with elyse and talk like not with gospel rtelated things... which realy helps my malagasy!  I felt pretty confident after!!  Also Saturday night my Dad (trainer haha) called me!!!  We talked for like 5 minutes about our areas and how we're doing with our new comps and it was realy nice.. can't believe how much i miss him! Funny huh!  But fun fact!  After I realized that the whole time the conversation was in malagasy!  Look at me being all mahay and stuff!  Haha anyways yesterday was super good and tiring.  Church was a bit of a mess, the speakers broke, some members got mad at one of our new investigators for not turnign his phone off so.... he left.. grr. anyways it was good. We had a good turnout!  Then after we taught 6 lessons!  It felt good to work hard and feel like I did good. Haha we have some new investigators and i'm excited for some of them.  One guy is Julio.  He's a doctor studying business and honestly reminds me of uncle jeff ahhahaha.  He has like a curly mullet. but it looks super stylish ahah. He's a super cool guy and realy intelligetn.  He's also super open to learn we just think he might be a bit afraid too.  We'll see how it turns out!  anwyays!!! I love you guys!!! I'm heading to my first lemur park today so i'm stoked!!!  Keep the prayers coming and always remember to trustin the Lord!   Tiako Ianareo!
